We found Neverland!

Today was the hottest day so far so we decided that we would get the Staten Island ferry this morning for a nice cool trip on the water! 


Afterwards we headed to Times Square to have lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe!!! It was so cool with great music playing and traditional American diner food! Tom had a pulled pork burger and I had the original legendary burger! We were so full up, the portions were massive!!! 





Then we headed up a few blocks to see the Broadway show Finding Neverland, tickets to which were a lovely birthday gift from Tom's parents Ali and Glen! It was such an amazing show, the best I've ever seen! I loved all the songs and the set was so clever with tons of glitter raining down in the final scene! Have to admit I did shed a tear or two! I really enjoyed it, thank you so so much Ali and Glen!!!


After the show we walked around Times Square a bit more, we went in the Disney store and the massive Toys R Us, which has an actual Ferris wheel inside! It was full of fun things, a bit like Hamleys in London, with amazing Lego creations!


We are thinking of going to the top of the rock tomorrow night which is very exciting!

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! There is definitely an added excitement when you get on to the water, although it was a bit scary when Captain Bucky let

Green Screen Laughs, Mum & Dad's Silver Anniversary & Jim Bacon's Retirement!

Hey everyone! Goodness me it's been a while! It's that time of year where revision really starts to spoil things!! Sadly, it leaves me very little time to make my weather forecast videos, so I'm gonna have to put them on hold until my exams are over in June. Aside from revision, I've managed to fit in some pretty awesome things over the last few weeks! Firstly, I have to show you this awesome sunset from the other week! Such vibrant colours! It's things like this that I love most about the weather. Last Friday I got to have a play around with the green screen at work, as we're developing an exciting new product for our customers!
