Day 2: Confused, jet lagged and couldn't find a Starbucks

Today started early for me as I woke up at 4:30am feeling like it was midday, I'm not great at adjusting to different time zones! I dozed in bed til about 8:00am and then Tom woke up and we started planning our day!
We decided to go to the American Museum of Natural History, so we set off immediately, having decided that the hotel breakfast wasn't for us. Wrong choice. By the time we got into Manhattan we were starving! We got off the metro at Central Park and we couldn't find anywhere to get food, not a Starbucks in sight!! Heartbreaking. Stomachs rumbling we headed straight to the museum in hopes there would be a cafe there. We bought our tickets and quickly located the food court for brunch. Then it was time to explore the museum! We bought a general ticket that also included all the special exhibitions which were amazing! Our favourite was the Dark Universe exhibition which was a short documentary in the planetarium dome. It was pretty sciencey and really made me think about things!

After thoroughly exploring all the exhibitions in the museum, we headed back to Times Square for a bit of retail therapy! Tom bought his first ever Subway and I've become addicted to Iced Coffee!

We went into a giant Hershey's store and bought some Jolly Ranchers for the long Metro ride back to the hotel! Now we are currently watching Masterchef USA #livingitup! Tomorrow we are going to the Statue of Liberty!!!
