TAYLOR SWIFT

This morning we got back at 2:00 am after seeing TAYLOR SWIFT!!! The tickets were a birthday present from my wonderful boyfriend Tom and they were at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. 

We started off our day yesterday walking the High Line in Chelsea, Manhattan, which is a disused railway line turned park. There were so many beautiful plants and the walkway gave us an awesome view of some of the buildings. 



Then we went off to 34th Street for a bit of retail therapy!! First place I went was Sephora which is like a dream come true. It's full of the most amazing makeup! When I went to the till I also signed up to the Sephora Beauty Insider points card, and was immediately given a birthday gift, as my birthday had just been and they didn't want me to wait a whole year! We also went to Macy's and Bloomingdales, and I bought an amazing Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow stick from Macy's! Here is what I bought... 


We also had the most amazing lunch from a street stall near 34th street. We had soft tacos with various fillings- Tom had shredded brisket and I had chicken and avocado. SO GOOD! 




After this we headed off to Port Authority to catch the bus to the MetLife stadium! The MetLife stadium was so amazing and huge. There were stalls selling all the traditional American things you'd expect at a stadium such as hot dogs and fried chicken! Tom and I shared fried chicken! We watched all 3 support acts; Shawn Mendes, Vance Joy and HAIM, which were all epic! Then Taylor came on! Her show was absolutely magical, everyone in the crowd was given wristbands which flashed in time to the music and in different colours which was so beautiful! She did all of the 1989 album and also a few of her older classics. It was the most amazing concert- the best I've ever been to, thank you Tom for one of the best experiences of my life!!

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! There is definitely an added excitement when you get on to the water, although it was a bit scary when Captain Bucky let

Worst Lecture Ever!

Friday began at 11, with a Meteorology lecture that I was (as always) late to. However I only missed a bit of recap so it was all good. During the lecture we learnt about the First Law of Thermodynamics, and there was a lot of maths involved. I still managed to follow it all though which was nice. After the lecture I rushed back home quick as my lil legs could carry me! I had a couple hours break and wanted to make the house look nice for when Tom arrived that evening. I literally spent the whole of my break tidying the kitchen and it didn't look like I'd even touched it, it was so messy. At 2 I headed back into uni for two super fun hours of maths! The first was a Vector Calculus lecture with the lecturer that I really like. The maths is quite hard but he explains it all really really well and takes it nice and slow, he gets a big ol' thumbs up from me.
