Happy Father's Day!

Image
This year in the UK Father's Day was on Sunday 21st, and having recently left my Sunday job, I was able to spend some time with my Papa! I always find my Dad fairly difficult to buy for, so I just went for a few goodies and cooked him a nice meal of all his favourite things! Goodie wise I got him Interstellar, David Beckham Eau de Toilette and a small bar of Tabasco chocolate. We also went out for a lovely walk in the sunshine, with the rest of my family and dogs, and I even went for a swim in the sea, which was ice cold!!!  The meal I cooked consisted of 3 courses and some nibbles. It was so much fun just to cook all day because I haven't been able to do that recently due to exams, but now they're over I'm free as a bird!  These are cheese and walnut triangle biscuits. I always make them at Christmas, but seeing as they're my Dads favourite, I baked them for him just as a one off!  The starter was crab cakes with blackened salsa and it was a

Training my new puppy!

Finally! It's warm and sunny outside! My Mum and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather this afternoon to start training our beautiful new puppy to walk on a lead, as she has just had all of her vaccinations and is ready to explore the big wide world! The dog on the left is the wonderful Fleur, who is 8 years old, and is showing the puppy, Lyra, exactly how a good dog should walk on a lead! Since we got Lyra, Fleur has really looked after her, which is lovely to see, and they are now best doggy pals! I hope everyone else enjoyed the sunshine in the UK today (if you got any) and I hope you enjoyed this random post! Zoë x

May Favourites

Image
Today I'm going to share with you my May favourites! As months go, May is one of the best in my opinion, as the weather starts to brighten up, the days are longer and (most importantly I might add...) it's my birthday month! So anyhow, here are my beauty favourites of the past month! Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - I think this is The One. Genuinely. I have fairly short and straight lashes, but using this mascara I don't even need to curl my eyelashes, it gives such amazing lift! I didn't ever think I would be a fan, partly because I didn't really believe the hype and also because I never usually go for a plastic brush applicator, but I love love love this mascara so much I have already repurchased just in case!! Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set - A birthday gift from my lovely Mumma! I've never really owned proper, good quality brushes before, so these are like a dream to me! They're so soft and I feel like my make up looks so much better when I use

On Cloud Nine

It was my 18th birthday a couple of weeks ago, and these were the nails I wore for that week! My mum made me a birthday cake covered in clouds, as it is my ambition to become a meteorologist, and I painted my nails to match. I used my Essie basecoat - all in one, and applied the Barry M Gelly Hi-shine nail polish in the shade Sky Blue. Once that had dried I used my white Wah Nails nail art pen to splodge the little clouds on top!! I finished my design by sealing all the layers in with my Seche Vite topcoat. These nails were fun to wear and I got a lot of compliments on them over the week, which is always nice!   Zoë x
