The Grand Canyon!!!

Today we got up super early to go on a tour of the Grand Canyon, which is 6 hours away from Las Vegas!!! 

We got to the National Geographic Visitor Centre at 12.30 pm and were rushed into the cinema to watch an IMAX movie; Grand Canyon, The Hidden Secrets. It is apparently the most watched IMAX film in the whole world! It was almost a little boring and we just wanted to go and see the canyon!!

After the film we then continued our drive to the East Rim and Bright Angel Point! Our first view of the canyon was just breathtaking! It was so much better and more amazing than I'd thought it would be!! You could just look at it for ages and not get bored! 




Then we drove to another viewpoint called Mathers Point, which was also amazing!! By this time the sun had really come out and was creating some beautiful shadows across the canyon! 




It didn't feel like we had long at all before we were hurried back into the bus to be driven back to Vegas! However to pass the time on the journey the driver played two awesome films we hadn't seen before; Maleficent and Parental Guidance, which were both really good and helped speed up the long journey!! 

We got into Vegas at about 9.30pm so got to see the amazing lights of The Strip again!! 

Tomorrow is sadly another travelling day as we head back to LA for an overnight before heading back to San Fran!!

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! Green Screen Laughs, Mum & Dad's Silver Anniversary & Jim Bacon's Retirement!

Hey everyone! Goodness me it's been a while! It's that time of year where revision really starts to spoil things!! Sadly, it leaves me very little time to make my weather forecast videos, so I'm gonna have to put them on hold until my exams are over in June. Aside from revision, I've managed to fit in some pretty awesome things over the last few weeks! Firstly, I have to show you this awesome sunset from the other week! Such vibrant colours! It's things like this that I love most about the weather. Last Friday I got to have a play around with the green screen at work, as we're developing an exciting new product for our customers! We had such a laugh! It was great to have a proper go and I think I'm definitely getting better. At least it's not painful to watch anymore!! I love working with such an awesome group of people!!
