Bye bye San Francisco, hello Los Angeles!

Woke up on the bus this morning which was hideous!! Swapped onto a train at 6:30 am and then got into LA by 9:30 am!! Dumped our bags at our hostel and headed out into sunny LA!!

Our first port of call was the building they use as the apartment block in New Girl!! It's so much fun to find buildings like this and the Friends house!! 


We then got the Metro into Hollywood to do the Walk of Fame! We couldn't believe how many people had their names on it and how many we had never heard of!! Here are a few that we thought were worth a picture! 






We then headed to the TCL Chinese Theatre to see the celebrity hand prints, which were pretty cool! 



Then we got lunch at Johnny Rocketa which was amazing! I had a chicken sandwich burger and Tom had the Smokehouse burger!! He says it was one of the best burgers he's ever had!





We then did a bit of shopping before getting ice cream at Cold Stone. Tom wanted to go there as they had done amazing tricks with the ice cream when he went in Dubai, however there were no ice cream acrobatics today! The ice cream still tasted amazing though...


We then embarked on a long walk from Hollywood Boulevard to the Griffith Park Observatory! We got some amazing views of the Hollywood sign and the observatory itself was really interesting!!




We then headed back to our hotel, having done LA in a day, and ready to leave in the morning!!

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! There is definitely an added excitement when you get on to the water, although it was a bit scary when Captain Bucky let

Green Screen Laughs, Mum & Dad's Silver Anniversary & Jim Bacon's Retirement!

Hey everyone! Goodness me it's been a while! It's that time of year where revision really starts to spoil things!! Sadly, it leaves me very little time to make my weather forecast videos, so I'm gonna have to put them on hold until my exams are over in June. Aside from revision, I've managed to fit in some pretty awesome things over the last few weeks! Firstly, I have to show you this awesome sunset from the other week! Such vibrant colours! It's things like this that I love most about the weather. Last Friday I got to have a play around with the green screen at work, as we're developing an exciting new product for our customers! We had such a laugh! It was great to have a proper go and I think I'm definitely getting better. At least it's not painful to watch anymore!! I love working with such an awesome group of people!!
