Yosemite Valley tour and an intense hike!

This morning we caught up on much needed sleep! Slept in til 9 am then had breakfast at the Yosemite Bug cafe! Tom and I both had blueberry buckwheat pancakes with fruit which were so so good!!! 


Then we got the bus into Yosemite valley for a tour that we'd booked!! Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and pretty hilarious! The tour was on an open air 'tram', and Tom and I had our selfie stick out at every opportunity!! We got some beautiful photos as it was a gorgeous day. 




After the tour we had two hours until one of the last buses back, so we set ourselves a challenge to climb up to Columbia Rock on the Upoer Yosemite Falls trail. It was pretty steep and we were going fairly fast so it was very intense!! After 45 minutes we got to the Columbia Rock, which was an amazing viewpoint over the whole valley and of half dome!! 



We then legged it back down in under 25 minutes so had time to go to the gift shop; I even bought a few Christmas presents!! 
 
Then got the bus back to the Yosemite Bug, which is a tiring hour and a half journey! We went straight to the restaurant for dinner, where I had a Tri Tip sandwich and Tom had steak! Both were served with the most amazing mash!

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! There is definitely an added excitement when you get on to the water, although it was a bit scary when Captain Bucky let

Green Screen Laughs, Mum & Dad's Silver Anniversary & Jim Bacon's Retirement!

Hey everyone! Goodness me it's been a while! It's that time of year where revision really starts to spoil things!! Sadly, it leaves me very little time to make my weather forecast videos, so I'm gonna have to put them on hold until my exams are over in June. Aside from revision, I've managed to fit in some pretty awesome things over the last few weeks! Firstly, I have to show you this awesome sunset from the other week! Such vibrant colours! It's things like this that I love most about the weather. Last Friday I got to have a play around with the green screen at work, as we're developing an exciting new product for our customers! We had such a laugh! It was great to have a proper go and I think I'm definitely getting better. At least it's not painful to watch anymore!! I love working with such an awesome group of people!!
