Bye bye San Francisco, hello Yosemite!

Again, we got up early today! We caught a 7 hour bus from San Fran to Yosemite! The bus we were put on was actually a tour bus, so we got a free tour as we were driven to the national park!! We also made some stops along the way and got some lovely pictures of the beautiful Yosemite scenery!!


  
The views of half dome and El capitan were amazing! We also wondered up to Yosemite falls as we waited for our next bus, which was not really running at the moment as there is a drought.

We arrived at our 'hotel', Yosemite Bug, at about 5 pm and went to unpack. It is so so cute!!! We love glamping!


We then went and got dinner at the Yosemite Bug restaurant. I had steak with mash and Tom had salmon with rice and courgettes! It was pretty good and nice to have a proper meal after 2 and a half days of bus/train food! We also shared a chocolate pie for dessert! 



 
Tomorrow we will properly explore Yosemite!!!

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! There is definitely an added excitement when you get on to the water, although it was a bit scary when Captain Bucky let

Green Screen Laughs, Mum & Dad's Silver Anniversary & Jim Bacon's Retirement!

Hey everyone! Goodness me it's been a while! It's that time of year where revision really starts to spoil things!! Sadly, it leaves me very little time to make my weather forecast videos, so I'm gonna have to put them on hold until my exams are over in June. Aside from revision, I've managed to fit in some pretty awesome things over the last few weeks! Firstly, I have to show you this awesome sunset from the other week! Such vibrant colours! It's things like this that I love most about the weather. Last Friday I got to have a play around with the green screen at work, as we're developing an exciting new product for our customers! We had such a laugh! It was great to have a proper go and I think I'm definitely getting better. At least it's not painful to watch anymore!! I love working with such an awesome group of people!!
