Rain, rain, go away

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a nice weekend! Unfortunately, a fairly hungover Zoë did not fancy doing a podcast/video/blog post last Sunday, so apologies if you missed it. Never fear though, I'm back and bringing you a video containing weather for the next few days!

Not before we've taken a look back at this weeks weather pics though! Sadly, I only have a few, because the weather's not very interesting right now.

Having said that, Tuesday wasn't a bad day! Although, I was trapped inside a lab at uni and unable to enjoy the sunshine.


It's so much harder to get a nice photo of the weather when it's so dull! This was taken yesterday in my usual spot as I walk to my lectures! Crazy to think that on Wednesday last week we were enjoying the sunshine and having a picnic on the grass by the trees!


It's been a nice day today though! Sunshine and showers! I took the babies for a walk and got some nice cloud pics.



Today I finally found the time to make a forecast video! I really love doing it and though it's not perfect, I'm definitely improving every time. The guys at work may have a whole studio, but I've got a camera balanced on an ironing board, I know you're all jealous.

DC duck tour!!

Today we got up fairly early and went for the hotel breakfast. I had fruit loops, which were super weird and Tom had dodgy doughnuts!!  We went into the city and our first stop was Obama's place! Obviously Barack didn't get the memo that we were in town so sadly missed out on meeting us.  After seeing the White House we walked to Union station, with a bit of retail therapy and lunch on the way! I got a pretty top from Forever 21! We had lunch in Pret, I had a California club sandwich and Tom had a New York Meatball wrap!!  We got to the station and boarded our vessel for the DC duck tour! The captain was called Captain Bucky and he was hilarious, he told us a funny joke to do with porridge when we told him we were from Norwich!! The tour was awesome, a really great way to see all of DC's monuments and memorials and learn things about them in the process! There is definitely an added excitement when you get on to the water, although it was a bit scary when Captain Bucky let

Snow?!

Hey everyone! Good news for anyone who is a fan of the colder conditions (like me!), this brief mild spell is at its end, as a northwesterly flow begins to dominate our weather once again. Now, I know it's not everyones favourite, but I love cold weather and the chance of seeing some snow makes me very excited. Though there's still some degree of uncertainty, there's a chance we could see a spell of snow in East Anglia overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning! For more details on the weather for the week ahead check out my latest podcast! Worst Lecture Ever!

Friday began at 11, with a Meteorology lecture that I was (as always) late to. However I only missed a bit of recap so it was all good. During the lecture we learnt about the First Law of Thermodynamics, and there was a lot of maths involved. I still managed to follow it all though which was nice. After the lecture I rushed back home quick as my lil legs could carry me! I had a couple hours break and wanted to make the house look nice for when Tom arrived that evening. I literally spent the whole of my break tidying the kitchen and it didn't look like I'd even touched it, it was so messy. At 2 I headed back into uni for two super fun hours of maths! The first was a Vector Calculus lecture with the lecturer that I really like. The maths is quite hard but he explains it all really really well and takes it nice and slow, he gets a big ol' thumbs up from me.
