Hi there! Welcome to my blog, Dots Above The E. My name is Zoë, I'm a meteorologist from East Anglia. 

Looking back through this blog you can read about the journey I took to becoming a meteorologist, through my degree at UEA and all the fun I've had along the way! I love writing diary style blog posts, sharing photos and creating the occasional weather forecast video, so you'll find very varied content here!!

I have a YouTube channel where I make videos about my favourite things. Recently, I do mostly travel edits, though I used to produce uni advice videos and the occasional nail art tutorial, so it's a very mixed bunch!

American Dinner Party!

Hello everyone! Tom and I are officially settled back into UK life! To celebrate our return we held a dinner party for both of our families. We decided on a menu that would give everyone a taste of the USA! We chose typically American dishes and made everything in miniature! Here is the menu! Appetizers: Chips n dips Entrées: Deep dish pizzas Hot Dogs Soft Tacos Burgers Philly Cheesesteaks Served with salad and fries! Desserts: Strawberry cheesecake Blueberry pancakes Brownies It was a super fun night, we all ate far too much, which is always good!! Pizza Hut Party for Abi Kebabi

I only had two lectures yesterday, the first beginning at 11, on Oceanography. We learnt all about how light travels in the ocean, and the word penetrate was used far too often for my liking. Following the Oceans lecture, we then had an hour of maths, which wasn't too bad, but I do feel like I'm beginning to fall behind as it gets more difficult.  At 1 I headed home hoping for a productive afternoon. I spent a ridiculous amount of time on hold to our energy company, and didn't manage to resolve anything. Bills and stuff are so confusing, I really think you should be taught the basics of paying bills and energy tariffs at school to prepare you for adulting. I also spent a long time cleaning the kitchen which just sucks. At about 6 we started to get reading for going out for Abi's Birthday Meal. High pressure attempting to take charge

Hello everyone! I hope you've had a great week. We've had pretty cool weather this week! A lot of sunshine and showers, giving us some v interesting clouds. Last Sunday, we had a brief shower of hail. Needless to say, I got far too excited. All of these showers do produce some lovely cloud pics. Monday was a lovely day, with a brief ridge of high pressure giving us a lovely sunny day - most of which I spent inside! I took this photo as I left the IT lab on Monday afternoon. Tuesday was not so nice, it rained for the majority of the day, making my concrete uni look very sad! However, by the time I got home, things were looking up and we had a lovely sunset. On Thursday, I had a day at home, and enjoyed the sunshine and showers once again, taking my doggos out for a walk during a sunny spell.
